Carolina Lily (Lilium michauxii) large bulbs.
These fragrant, drought tolerant lilies attract swallowtail butterflies and grow in abundance on my Southeast Texas property.
The Carolina Lily is the only fragrant native lily east of the Rocky Mountains.
These are very hardy, drought tolerant lilies. They spend time in dormancy similar to an Easter Lily after being eaten by wildlife but come back the next year in late winter or early spring.
